What this module does

It takes part, supplier, material, country, export and carbon evidence data and converts it into a supplier carbon-readiness dashboard.

Input

Supplier/part CSV with material, CN/HS code if available, EU-export linkage, annual quantity, weight and emission-factor evidence.

Output

CBAM scope verification flag, emission-factor basis, annual tCO2e estimate, scenario carbon cost, data readiness score and procurement actions.

1. Upload supplier carbon file

Use the template. If actual emission factor is unavailable, the module can apply an indicative screening default and mark it clearly as such.

Readiness score means data availability for review. It does not mean CBAM-ready or legally compliant.

    Boundary statement

This is a procurement-readiness and carbon-data-gap tracker. It supports early screening and supplier follow-up. Final CBAM applicability, CN/HS classification, official default values, supplier-specific embedded emissions and reporting obligations must be validated by qualified compliance, tax, customs or sustainability professionals.

Scenario cost basis & steady-state reference: For steel (CN 7208/7209) and aluminium (CN 7601) EU-export parts, embedded carbon is valued at the 2026 CBAM default emission value per Annex I of EU Implementing Regulation 2025/2621 (+10% mark-up). The 2026 and 2027 Scenario EUR columns apply the EU's early-phase CBAM liability factors (2.5% and 5% of full liability) to this value; "steady-state" (full phase-in, ~2034, 100% liability factor) is shown in the commodity exposure summary above. For a turnover-level estimate combining CBAM exposure with India CCTS pass-through risk, see the standalone CCTS & CBAM Exposure Calculator (ccts-cbam-exposure-calculator.html), which uses the same default values and phase-in factors for consistency.
